My kids and Christmas

This Christmas is a little bit different because we prepare it far away from my husband. We’ve planned to go home to Jatisari 10 days before Christmas, then go back to Solo again.

This Christmas is also not the same because we can’t prepare it fully. Langit has got to face his semester test and it’s also a disturbing.

Anyway, now we are in the spirit. We set up the Christmas tree last week. Today, I started to search for some coloring pictures for the kids. They’ll color it and we’ll make Christmas cards from it.

This year, my kids are more critical about Santa and presents. I’ve told them to make a letter to Santa. They said they can’t write it, so they drew. And it was a whole page of drawing. Lots of Transformers figure for Langit. And a page of trucks for Banyu. 

Then they asked : Mama, terus surate dikirim ning endi?

Me : Kutub.

Langit : Kutub Utara po Selatan?

Me : Utara ?

Langit : Kan ning Kutub Utara ora ana Rain deer. Kutub Selatan mesti…

Banyu : Mama, kok Santa Claus isa nggawa barang akeh banget?

 Kok Santa Claus isa ngerti rumah e anak-anak kabeh? 

Emang Rain deer e kuat? 

Kenapa Santa Claus ora nganggo trek ya?

Langit : Mama, Santa Claus mlebu rumah e lewat ngendi? Chimney ya? Nek stuck piye? Kan Santa Claus gendut.. Hehehe..

Langit : Lho.. Kan dalem e Kakung ora kagungan chimney? Trus piye Santa Claus isa mlebu?

Me : lewat lawang mungkin…

Langit : Mas’ve got an idea! Lawang e mburi sesuk aja ditutup ya? Ben Santa Claus isa lewat.

Me : Iyo. Tapi Mas karo Adik kudu bobok. Nak Mas karo Adik ora bobok mengko Santa Claus ora teka lho…

Langit & Banyu : iyo, yo.. tapi nak Santa claus teka, Mas karo Adik digugah ya…
